Bumping and Cooking: A touch of West Coast

For those of us who aren't always hip to some up and coming artists on the West Coast, here is a short introduction to one of the newest rappers on the scene, Kyle Harvey. Known by his stage name Kyle he is influenced by artists Drake, and Kid Cudi but claims to make his own path and sound within that style of music. Previously he was known as K.i.D. or "Kyle is Determined". This year he released his first album, Beautiful Loser, although he can still be considered an underground rapper with most of his fan-base coming from social media sites like Youtube. Here's what he had to say about the album in an interview: "Hip-Hop needs something that feels good", "Beautiful Loser is what you play when you wanna laugh, what you play when you wanna smile, what you play when you wanna hear something real and honest, and what you play when you wanna feel good. On August 5th [(2013)Release Date], I'm gonna show the world how good it feels to smile again. Beautiful Loser." My personal opinion is that he lives up to this claim, but only if you choose to let it. Don't try to take him too seriously and good times await.
